Range is all of your "y" coordinates, and Domain is all of your "x" coordinates.

So for example, if we were to use a linear equation:
y=2x+3

We can infer that 3, the y-intercept, 5, the next number after three, as it is increasing by two, hence the "2x", and 1, the number before x=0 are all range coordinates. So, all odd numbers!

Considering "2x" means "two y for every x", you can infer that range is every single number, as it rises/falls by one every time consistently.

Hope this helps!

Question
The supplement of angle t is 4 times the measure of angle t
Solution 1
Supplementary angles need to equal 180 degrees
 one angle = t
the other angle = 4 x t or 4t
 so we now have t + 4t = 180

4 + 4t = 5t

so we have 5t = 180

divide both sides by 5:
t = 180 /5
t = 36
 so angle t = 36 degrees

the other angle = 4 x 36 = 144 degrees

Solution 2

Answer:

A. C. And D. Are same

Step-by-step explanation:

(4x+5)(-3x-1)

Applying distributive law

4x(-3x-1)+5(-3x-1)

Again applying distributive law in both the brackets

-12x^2-4x-15x-5

Adding the terms having same power of x

-12x^2-19x-5

1. -16x^2+10x-3+(4x^2-29x-2 )

Simplifying the terms containing the same power of x

-16x^2+10x-3+4x^2-29x-2

-12x^2-19x-5

Hence it is true

Summer spent $55.60 on clothes before sales tax. If sales tax is 7.5%, what did Summer spend with tax included?  *Add Explanation If U Can*
Solution 1
$59.77. Turn the percent into a decimal by moving the decimal to the left two places (7.5 to 0.075). Then multiply the new decimal by the cost (55.60×0.075=4.17). 4.17 would be the total sales tax, so then add it to the price (55.77+4.17=59.77). Hope that helped.

A bag contains 2 blue, 4 green, and 3 white chips. What is the probability of drawing a white chip then another white chip without replacement? A.) 7/9 B.) 8/81 C.) 2/3 D.) 1/12
Solution 1
Total number of chips: 2 + 4 +3 = 9

total white chips = 3
 probability of picking white first = 3/9 = 1/3

after taking one chip there would be 9-1 = 8 chips left

and 3-1 2 white chips left

probability of picking 2nd white chip = 2/8 = 1/4

probability of picking both =  1/3 x 1/4 = 1/12

Question
A+b+c+d=770 a+b=c+d a-b=49 c-d=211 Find numbers.
Solution 1
A+b = c+d
a+b = 770/2    ( a+b+c+d = 770)
a+b = 385
c+d = 385

a+b+a-b = 385+49
         2a  = 434
           a  = 434/2
           a  = 217
 a-b=49
217-49= b
b         = 168

c+d+c-d = 385+211
         2c = 596
           c = 596/2
           c = 298

c-d = 211
c-211= d
298-211 = d
           d  = 87

Therefore, a=217, b=168, c=298, d=87

Question
Three girls, Laura, Tammy, and Jeri, can wash the family cars, clean the pool, and mow the lawn in one hour and 20 minutes. If Jeri did all the work, she would take twice as long as Tammy and 2 hours longer than Laura. How long would Tammy take to do the job alone? 3 hrs. 4 hrs. 6 hrs.
Solution 1

The number of hours that Tammy takes to do the job alone will be 4 hours. Then the correct option is B.

What is the solution to the equation?

The allocation of weights to the important variables that produce the calculation's optimum is referred to as a direct consequence.

Three girls, Laura, Tammy, and Jeri, can wash the family cars, clean the pool, and mow the lawn in one hour and 20 minutes. If Jeri did all the work, she would take twice as long as Tammy and 2 hours longer than Laura.

The equations are given as,

T + J + L = 1 + 20/60

T + J + L = 1.333              ....1

J = 2T                              ....2

J = 2 + L                          ....3

The rate for Laura, Tammy, and Jeri will be given as,

Laura DATA:

Time = x hr/job ; Rate = 1/x job/hr

Jeri DATA:

Time = x+2 hr/job ; Rate = 1/(x+2) job/hr

Tammy DATA:

Time = (x+2)/2 hr/job ; Rate = 2/(x+2) job/hr.

Together DATA:

Time = 4/3 hr/job ; Rate = 3/4 job/hr

The equation is given as,

Rate + Rate + Rate = Together rate

1/x + 1/(x+2) + 2/(x+2) = 3/4

Multiply the equation by 4x(x+2) to get:

4(x+2) + 4x + 8x = 3x(x+2)

16x + 8 = 3x^2+6x

3x^2-10x-8 = 0

3x^2-12x+2x-8 = 0

3x(x-4)+2(x-4) = 0

(x-4)(3x+2) = 0

x = 4, - 2/3

The number of hours that Tammy takes to do the job alone will be 4 hours. Then the correct option is B.

Solution 2
Laura DATA:
Time = x hr/job ; Rate = 1/x job/hr
Jeri DATA
Time = x+2 hr/job ; Rate = 1/(x+2) job/hr
Tammy DATA:
Time = (x+2)/2 hr/job ; Rate = 2/(x+2) job/hr.
Together DATA:
time = 4/3 hr/job ; Rate = 3/4 job/hr
EQUATION:
rate + rate + rate = together rate
1/x + 1/(x+2) + 2/(x+2) = 3/4
Multiply thru by 4x(x+2) to get:
4(x+2) + 4x + 8x = 3x(x+2)
16x + 8 = 3x^2+6x
3x^2-10x-8 = 0
3x^2-12x+2x-8 = 0
3x(x-4)+2(x-4) = 0
(x-4)(3x+2) = 0
Positive answer:
x = 4 hrs. time for Laura to do the job
x+2=6 hrs. time for Jeri to do the job
(x+2)/2 = 3 hrs. time for Tammy to do the job
Question
What is f(5) if f(x)=8x-3
Solution 1

Answer:

f(5)=37

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the function f(x)=8x-3,

f(5) is the value of the function f when x=5, then you have to replace f(x) with x=5,

f(x)=8x-3

f(5)=8.(5)-3

f(5)=40-3

f(5)=37

Solution 2
It would be f(x)=37
